FAQ

  • I own a store, how do I stock your products?
If you are purchasing as a business to re-sell our products then please email us at darvellace@gmail.com and we will provide you with a 20% wholesale discount code. Products must be re-sold at the published prices in your establishment. We deliver monthly to re-stock our local stores, please let us know where you are located and we will work out how to accommodate you on our route.
  • What is your basswood/forest honey?
We have bees in several locations locally. Our yard north of hwy 7 is out in the woods and the bees produce a very light honey with a delicate flavour. Our apiary bees enjoy foraging in our own basswood trees which results in another unique and exquisite honey. Both of these honeys are from later in our season, in limited supply and compliment a cheeseboard perfectly!
  • Why has my honey has crystallized (gone hard)?
Honey crystallizes over time and this is perfectly natural. If you have honey that never starts to crystallize then chances are it isn't pure honey! To bring it back to liquid you can warm it VERY gently. DO NOT MICROWAVE IT! place the honey jar into your oven and set it to the lowest temperature possible, around 170 degrees. Set the timer for 30 minutes. Once the timer is up shut the oven off but leave the honey in the oven. This will warm it enough to become liquid again without pasteurizing it. You can repeat this process if needed.
  • Is your honey pasteurized or treated?
Absolutely not! All our honey is 100% raw, nothing added, straight from the hive into the jar!
  • Is Gord single?
We get this question more often than you think!!! Regrettably, Gord is unavailable for dates but you may pet his beard if you ask VERY nicely!
